Etching on stone altar reads (in Old Giant): “Her blood nourishes and Her blood destroys. Offer Her blood, and choose.”. On a DC 18 intelligence check for someone who speaks Giant, they correctly read it. Otherwise, they read the text without the word “her”.

If they then place blood into the bowl, all surrounding bowls fill with blood, quickly overflowing. The cave entrance seals and three statues come to life, dropping their bowls.

Statues are Living Iron Statue, but:

If the bowl is filled with water and placed in the hands of the statue, all other bowls fill with water, overflowing. The overflowing water forms two large shapes in the ground: that of a sword and that of a sheaf of wheat.

No matter which is selected, nothing seems to happen. But something does change, behind the scenes.
