Last session, our heroes finished their shopping with Henry Randall at Euxine Wares. Henry was cautious of the murderers walking around disguised as dead people, but given that Sentin’s offer to Heph still stood he was civil and let them shop. Eden tried to get more information on what Sentin was doing with her, Maho had some harsh back and forth on why her murders were different from those of Sentin, and Heph made an attempt at repairing the broken Wand of Whispers Henry was fiddling with.

Done with that table, the party headed over to Lucien Dynastic. Sentin was demonstrating his homunculus Sares to a rapt audience of admirers and collecting job applications. He noticed them approach, and while waiting for him to finish the party showed Eden the notes he had kept on her. Sentin finished up and walked over, expressing his relief that Eden was safe, although he seemed not to be entirely sincere. The party, Eden especially, had some targeted questions on why exactly the blinds seemed to replace Eden’s will rather than augment it, and what had happened for the six months she had no memories of.

Alongside Heph’s job offer, Sentin handed one to Maho as well, also offering Eden his continued “assistance” in helping her manage her surges. Maho and Heph refused in spectacular fashion, throwing the contracts into a bucket and setting them on fire. Sentin motioned to a Central Command soldier, who called others over to start making their way towards the party. Sentin explained to Eden that he had given Maho and Heph many chances, and now it was time for the law to take over. Eden raised the notes and started reading “It seems a power resides within her she cannot control. I told her that all things are within the control of those with a strong and well-practiced will. This seemed to suade her. It is typical of one so young and naïve to think it was her will I referred to.” Eden said she knew Sentin had been lying to her from the beginning, and cast Dominate Person.
