Perrinor

Last session, our heroes awoke still in the mausoleum, getting a well-deserved if macabre rest. They left a friendly written note to the still-asleep Sylvia and Princess von Riess and headed out, ready to plan their activity for the first day of Hexicon. They decided that with Sentin busy at the convention, now would be a good time to strike against Kogar. Ash filled them in on additional details of her father. She told them that he hoped to gain some power from the ancient giants to control where the Nor’Southern Isles would appear, and that he intended to pawn off his troublesome daughter in marriage to Herr Herzog Kohlburg to gain some much-needed diplomatic standing in Perrinor. She also told them how he had supplemented his already formidable combat prowess with supernatural substance, binding an iron cage to his wrist containing a dark stone. Within the stone were a number of trapped fey spirits, granting him their strength.

The party resolved to invite Kogar to a wedding between his daughter and Elias, staged on the cliff side where they had fought Sentin. Betting on his possessiveness overwhelming his caution, they hoped he would arrive and then fall victim to a number of traps, including pitfalls, illusory bridges, cake-based ambushes, and a Heat Metal on his iron bracelet. The Dagger’s assistance was requested, and he offered to deliver the message to Kogar and pick up some large cakes in exchange for the mistguard bodies not being destroyed.

With a whole morning and most of an afternoon to prepare, the party set about planning a wedding.

Welcome, gathered wanderers. In this desert our world was born. Now it shall witness the dawn of another. And just as the ground beneath our feet and the sky far above our heads was crafted by careful and skilled hands, so too this marriage has been fashioned, not just by these two, but by the work of their many friends and those that have added to their lives.

This world has lasted long beyond its creation, and so too we avow this union will remain unsundered past defeat and death and dissipation. May Sarnann fill your cups with everlasting joy and sustenance. May Frejnann shelter you within her protective clothing. May Jörnann supply a foundation which can be both built upon and endlessly explored. May you feed yourself from the Wild One while holding your bond strong against him. And may Wyrdein bless you with a rich and plentiful brood.
