Last session, our heroes Got Weird at the Wedding Party. Elias and Ash got drunk off a strange blue liquor that Ana had stolen, causing Ash to float away while Elias leapt after her and Maho tried to bat her back to earth. Heph updated his mom on all the party’s adventures so far, prompting her to need a sit and her own drink. And Maho challenged the other goliaths to a competition with her new greataxe, absolutely trouncing them as she effortlessly cut a log into dozens of slices.

Elias approached Ana to find out where she got the blue drink from, leading to him expressing his surprise that his haphazardly scattered invitations actually got to their recipients. At this point Salty flew over with a message tied to his leg, and Elias hugged Ana in realization. He said none of this would have be possible without her, and she said he wasn’t giving himself enough credit. She also revealed that something she pickpocketed from him long before wasn’t anything physical, but was in fact his “sense of security” (definitely planned). Elias reverse-pickpocketed 500gp to her and left, promising that she could give him her final Mistress of Disguise lesson once he’d sobered up.

Maho asked Elias if he was planning on returning to the Nor’Southern Isles, and he replied something through a mouth filled with cake. Maho then walked off to talk to Princess von Riess, introducing her spectral almiraj Üü to the Princess’s ferret Tuki. Maho got invited to Schloss Einheit again, and inquired whether anything interesting had happened during Hexicon that day. The Princess wasn’t super into that nerd shit, but pulled out the booklet given to her of important attendees looking for a “Kensin Waldershits”. Maho saw an entry with notes to “make a good impression” on Sentin, as well as an entry for Magdalene Stanger, an inventor in the employ of TK.

The parents present all met, and Joerg pulled out the package he had received from Maho’s mom. Reading it, they found out that she had left Hojo in search of experience in the world like what her daughter was getting. The package also contained a cloak for Maho, indicating her success as a warrior. Maho, upset and confused, said she would have rather been given the cloak in person, and wondered where her mom had gone. Maho ran off to where the Widow Seer’s daughter was sitting alone, and asked her to scry on Mana. After gifting her some non-peanut-butter perfume, providing her with a tasteful painting of Mana Joerg kept in his wallet, and showing her a lock of hair to kick off the supernatural abilities she didn’t know she had, the Widow Seer’s crystal ball began to fill with mist, and an image of Mana started to take shape.
